We are happy to let you know that ARAS Pioneer Teens will continue this summer. We will be holding the program online (M-F 10am - 12pm) but hope to include 1-2 field trips if it is safe to do so by July. Please forward this email and spread the word to any NYC-area teens you think would be interested in joining the program. We are now accepting applications!

We were able to hold our Pioneer Teens program online for the very first time in the fall of 2020. It was wonderful even if we couldn't be with each other in person!
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our 2020 Pioneer Teens summer program has been canceled due to COVID-19. Please check back for information about an online program in the fall!

Pioneer Teens 2016
We have completed another wonderful year of the Pioneer Teens summer art program. It was a great success. Thank you to all who supported and taught these amazing pioneers. Teens Take the Met - 2016
ARAS participated in this event in the Nolen Library on the ground floor of the Met!
Teens Take the Met - 2015
ARAS was thrilled to take part in the Teens Take the Met event this fall! This was the second time ARAS participated in this event and we chose dragons as a theme this time. We brought lots of multicultural images of dragons from the archive and contemprary sources all to inspire the teens to make their own dragon and send as a post card to a friend. Over 4,500 teens took part! Here are some images of the teens engaging with the symbol of the Dragon!
Congratulations to Pioneer Teens 2015! A huge thank you to everyone who supported these amazing pioneers. The program was a huge success and a great experience for everyone involved. Check out our education blog to see photos of the teen's artwork and to read about their time at ARAS!
